In the session
What to expect
We start with a short check-in. You tell me what's been bothering you, where you want focus, and what pressure feels right. Then I work. The session is one piece.
I draw on deep tissue when something has been tight for a long time, and on Esalen when you want to be held, head to toe. Myofascial release is for the spot that keeps coming back. Lymphatic drainage is for when the pressure needs to stay very light. Swedish is the long, gliding work I use to quiet a nervous system that's been running hot.
Ayurveda is how I read what your body is asking for that day. It isn't a script I follow.
You're draped the whole time. Only the area I'm working on is uncovered. You can ask for more, or less, whenever you want.
Who I see
Who it's for
Come if you'd rather I show up at your place. A lot of my clients are here for the first time. Others sit at a desk all week, or they train and want the sore spots worked. If you already know the ache, I wrote shorter pages for low back pain, neck and shoulder tension, desk posture, and post-workout recovery.
If you're pregnant, get a sign-off from your OB or midwife, then tell me. I'll change the setup and the pressure. A few things I'll refer out, including a fever, a contagious skin condition, and a blood clot. The intake form before your first visit covers the rest.

Questions
Do you come to my home?
Yes. Sessions are at your place in San Francisco, within about 15 miles. I bring the table. You need enough room to walk around it.
What does a session cost?
90 minutes is $180. 120 minutes is $240. Sessions more than 15 miles away may include a travel fee. I'll let you know before you book.
What kind of massage will I get?
We decide that at the start. I blend Swedish, deep tissue, Esalen, myofascial release, and lymphatic drainage into one session. Ayurveda is in how I choose the mix.
What should I wear?
Undress to your comfort. Many people undress fully so the strokes don't have to stop and start. You're draped the whole time, and only the area I'm working is uncovered. Come hydrated, and skip a heavy meal in the hour before.
