Deep tissue massage in San Francisco

Last updated October 17, 2026

Deep tissue is the slower, firmer work I use when the tightness sits under the surface. I come to you in San Francisco and bring the table.

In the session

What to expect

The strokes are slower, and the pressure stays in one place long enough for the tissue to let go. I'll use forearms, elbows, and knuckles when a spot needs that. Firm, and I check in so it doesn't turn harsh.

We talk through pressure as we go. I want what your body welcomes, not what you can grit your teeth through.

You book a 90- or 120-minute in-home session. Deep tissue is part of that time, blended with whatever else you need that day. I don't spend the whole session on one knot.

Who I see

Who it's for

I reach for this when lighter work hasn't done it. The usual places are a trap or a hip that keeps coming back, especially if you train or you sit most of the day. The same work shows up for neck and shoulder tension and for low back pain.

Questions

How firm is deep tissue?

Firm, and slow. I use forearms, elbows, and knuckles. We talk through pressure as we go. The aim is what your body welcomes, not what it can endure.

Who is this for?

People whose lighter sessions haven't reached the tightness. I see it after hard training, and in people who've been at a desk long enough that the same spot keeps coming back.

Do you come to me?

Yes. In-home massage in San Francisco, within about 15 miles. I bring the table.

What does it cost?

90 minutes is $180. 120 minutes is $240. Sessions more than 15 miles away may include a travel fee. I'll let you know before you book.
